The most important thing about me is that I’ve always been a monkey and Parkour is just my excuse to act like one in public!  I’ve been doing Parkour for over 4 years and have loved every minute of it.  I started out as the typical internet fan that would go out and try the things I saw on Youtube.  After lots of learning the hard way, I decided to start studying the art, rather than just trying it.  In the last two years I started training under an amazing gymnastics coach, became a CrossFit Gymnastics Certified Instructor, trained with members of Aero Parkour (Chicago) and learned from The Tribe in Washington D.C. Outside of Parkour I’m also an active martial artist.  I have a 3rd degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate, a 1st degree black belt in Filipino Modern Arnis, I am a Harris International Jeet Kune Do Instructor, a Harris International Filipino Martial Arts Instructor, a blue belt in Roy Harris Jiu-Jitsu, and am a Bram Frank Level 1 Knife Instructor. I have trained or currently train in other styles such as: Tae Kwon Do, Savate Kickboxing, MMA, and JKD.  My teaching style is detail oriented, but focuses on repetition in many different contexts rather than lectures or long demonstrations.  If you have any questions or would like to schedule a private lesson, travel seminar, or birthday party feel free to email me at: Scott@AMParkour.com.

Mike Lavoie came to the very first event ever held by AMParkour.  Since then, he might have missed a handful of classes at the most.  Mike has been training at AMP for two years, and has begun teaching for the last year as well.  His style of teaching is incredibly fun, but he incorporates tons of exercises for a great workout as well.  He is especially known for his crazy/awesome obstacle courses and brings a background of teaching at a ski school up north.  We are very lucky to have Mike with us.

Feel free to contact him at lostinfaith @ sbcglobal.net for private lessons or seminars.

Joe Saulnier is no stranger to physical fitness.  Besides being an ITF Take Kwon Do champion and an athlete of just about every sport you can think of, he also spent years as a track coach for Newington Athletics.  Joe is not only an impressively athletic traceur, but an amazing coach who's eye for detail has set him apart as a trainer at AMP.

Califf Guzman has by far the most Parkour experience out of any of the coaches at AMParkour.  Training with his brother since he was young, Califf has developed an impressive skill set in Parkour, Freerunning, Tumbling, and Tricking.  Califf spent years training without equipment or gyms, and thus has a knack for creating fun and effective workouts using Parkour movements.  Califf performs on the East Coast and was one of the few people to complete the American Ninja Warrior first round.  You can see him in season 1 of the show.  Our intermediate students have gained a lot from the addition of Califf to the teaching staff at AMP.

You can contact him for private lessons, seminars, and a multitude of other skills at califfguzman @ gmail.com.

Gregg has been training at AMP so long I can't even remember when he started.  Not only was Gregg a natural in Parkour, but he has also contributed time and effort to making MSDC a better place to train.  Gregg is the reason for many of our new obstacles and training equipment, and his creativity keeps pushing the gym to be better and better.

Kevin has been at AMP since it opened, and has never passed up an opportunity to help out, jump in, and make AMP a fun place to train.  His breakdancing background not only helps his Parkour, but is also an inspiration to many of our students who are interested in cross-training in the related field.

A great thanks goes out to the guest instructors who have come and spread their knowledge to our students including Zach K., Greg M., Matt M, and Vinny G.  Working together to make the next generation of traceurs the best generation of traceurs is what it's all about!

Congratulations to all students who have been invited to the Parkour intermediate class:

Alex P, Vince B, Luke A, Devin C, Sammy L, Cody H, Dave F, and Geordan N.
